ABOUT SICFIT ROUND ROCK
I’ve never worked out like this before, will I be lost?
Some of the movements can be complex, but like anything new, will take time to master. We will start you working with the basics, learning the proper form, slowly ramping up the intensity as your body adjusts to these new movements and weights. You will be guided through by a Coach that will give you the right dose of recommended exercise based on your individual needs. You will be surprised how fast you go from doing modified variations of the exercises to fully prescribed. It’s an exciting goal and accomplishment, as any student at SICFIT Round Rock will attest to!
SICFIT Round Rock is all about personal training. Whether in a group setting or one on one, there will be at least one trained and certified Coach with you. Classes will never have more than 15 students per coach. We keep our classes small so that you can still get plenty of individual coaching throughout the session. The group sessions are where the fun, competitiveness, and camaraderie come from. A typical class will consist of a warm-up, a skill session, a strength session and conditioning piece.
Do I need to be in shape before I come to SICFIT Round Rock?

What if I don’t want to be an athlete; I just want to be healthy?
Perfect! A large number of our clients are here to be just that, healthy. This is the main reason we have three different levels of programming: LIFE | FITNESS | SPORT. Depending on your fitness level when you start at our gym you might fall into the LIFE program. This is designed for people who need the benefits of exercise like lowering blood pressure, cholesterol levels and body fat. Or you may find yourself in our FITNESS program, which is designed for those interested in becoming more FIT. If you do change your mind and decide that you want to be more competitive, then our SPORT program is for you. They all build on one another. You can fluctuate between programs based on the prescribed load and each workout. No matter what level you fall into, we have a nutrition guide and exercise program developed for you to help achieve your goal of becoming healthier.
In plain language, base your diet on garden vegetables, especially greens, lean meats, nuts and seeds, little starch, and no sugar. That’s about as simple as we can get. Many have observed that keeping your grocery cart to the perimeter of the grocery store while avoiding the aisles is a great way to protect your health. Food is perishable. The stuff with long shelf life is all suspect. If you follow these simple guidelines you will benefit from nearly all that can be achieved through nutrition.
How many times a week do I need to come?
Any exercise is better than no exercise. We want you to get in here and get moving. Any combination of regular attendance combined with outside activities such as hiking, swimming, biking or running around with your kids will do the trick. Your individual coach will discuss with you how many times a week you need to come in the beginning and you will constantly be evaluated to see if you need to attend more or less sessions per week. You can always upgrade your membership if more volume is appropriate for your needs. Training 3-4 times a week is ideal.
